Tuesday I headed back up to Claremore again for my graduation celebration dinner. Here are some pics. Packing right now for Mexico. Some how I’m supposed to pack for a month in a roll-a-board suitcase… ugh. This isn’t fun yet lol. Enjoy the pics!

CAC FASHION SHOW

Posted in college, Fashion with tags , , , , , , on November 19, 2009 by Me & Marisa

Last night I went to the annual CAC Dance Marathon Fashion Show here at The University of Oklahoma. The lovely Marion was kind enough to go with me, but sadly I made us about 20 minutes late as the show started at 7:00 and I didn’t get out of class until about 7:10, then I had to run back to my car and grab my camera… I know, I know… unprepared. Anyways, the show was pretty fun. I mean it was a fashion show in Norman, Oklahoma lol, but all in all they did a good job. A few of my pictures (like most of the ones of the catwalk) are a little blurry and for that I’m sorry, but I’m still trying to figure out my camera for such occasions lol… PLUS I did have one critique, the models did not stop and pose at the end of the run way for more than .0005 seconds, it was like the California Stop of runway walks. Anywho, on to the pictures!

This girl’s boots reminded me slightly of the Miu Miu boots Jane Aldridge had on Sea of Shoes a while ago.
This top looked a lot better on than in the pictures…
Okay these two are EXTREMELY blurry, but I kinda liked the look of them 🙂
This girl should look familiar, she was in one of the photoshoots for Fashionably Late Magazine I posted not long ago.
Then the Dance Marathon people did their thing. My friend Ben did a really great job! He’s a much better dancer than I gave him credit for lol.
LOVED her coat! She had a great bag too, but didn’t get it in the shot.

After the show, Marion and I got coffee and ran into our friend Whitney Lynn. Fun night! Happy Thursday!!!

I NEED TO GO SHOPPING… HA

Well it’s official. I’m back in Norman for my final semester of OU. Not really looking forward to doing the school thing again, but meh, it’s one semester, I can manage. So yesterday I tackled all of my unpacking/reorganizing of my clothing both from my time in Dallas as well as Tulsa over the summer… I’m out of room. I literally have no where else to put clothes, and there is still a stack of clothing sitting in my guest room that needs to be hung up! Oh and I’m out of hangers. Alas, I’ve still eyed a few cool shops in town that I plan on checking out either today or tomorrow. Anyways, I had to take a picture of my closets because they may never look this organized again any time soon. Also, did a little online browsing last night and some of my favorite picks are down below. Have a great day!

P.S. I need a haircut in the worlds worst way.
P.S.S. I promise I’ll do a post for women’s fashion very, very soon.

I didn’t have the heart to photograph my winter clothing or the chest of drawers in my room… but sweaters were sitting on top of this chest in the guest room closet and in a few of the drawers… Marisa, look at what you’ve done to me! Lol

WEEKEND RECAP

Posted in Concert, Life, photography, Weekend Recap with tags , , , , , , , , , on August 17, 2009 by Me & Marisa

This weekend was a good one. My last before I head back to Norman for my final semester at OU (woot!). To kick off the weekend, my family and I headed to a concert series at Utica in Tulsa. While there, we were joined by friends Rebekah from tango (yes she’s the one with the silver shoes as someone put it to me), her father, and then one of my sister’s friends from high school Cassie. Good music, great conversation.

After the concert, Rebekah, Joy, Cassie and I all headed out to Hibiscus on Brookside for some music and to meet up with one of my sister’s work associates in from out of town. Come to find out, the work associate, Casey Printers, played for the Kansas City Chiefs in the NFL and was in town for a few days doing business training with my sister’s boss. Very nice guy. He brought his brother and one of his friends along as well for the evening. Brookside was pretty dead that night, not going to lie, but we tried to make our own fun. Even going so far as to seek out Karaoke one time at the pool hall Sharkey’s… not a good idea.

On a side note before I get to the pictures, went and saw Julie & Julia with the family as well, very good movie, and I totally related to how Julie (the blogger) felt in the film lol. Highly recommend it for some light entertainment. On to the pictures. Hope you had a great weekend, enjoy!

I DON’T WANT TO LEAVE

Posted in Art, Dallas, Fashion, Random with tags , , , , , , on August 4, 2009 by Me & Marisa

I don’t want to leave Dallas to go back to OU for my last semester :(.  I’ve already made up my mind that I’m moving back just as soon as I graduate college… like in December if that is possible. Ergo, I’ve already started looking at some apartments. I really like downtown living, but I’ve been recommended to a couple uptown locations as well. If you have any suggestions let me know!

Stumbled across a photo spread from Dazed Digital a couple days ago of their up-and-coming fashion designers. I really like the ethereal feel of it. Enjoy!
