DOGGONE DELAYED CHRISTMAS

Posted in Fashion, Food, Life with tags , , , , , , on January 13, 2011 by Me & Marisa

This is a post of dog-fashion, lots of presents, and the sea of wrapping paper that followed the carnage of opening all those hours of wrapping. Ā I’d write more, but I’m rushing to get out of Houston šŸ™‚ . Hope you are having a great week!

FOUND IN MY JACKET POCKET

Posted in Fashion, New York, Oklahoma, Shoes with tags , , , , , , , on November 5, 2010 by Me & Marisa

Look what I found in my jacket pocket today: my Marc Jacobs leather strap bracelet!

Okay I’m going to be honest, I think the last time I wore this was when I went to OU/TX and was a little fuzzy in the judgement department and I was really sad because I thought I left it somewhere. So VERY glad that was not the case.

As a result of finding the bracelet- paired with the fact it’s finally cold enough to dress with style… and that I talked to one of my friends from NYC last night- I felt inspired to bring a little New York style to Oklahoma today. I’m heading off here in half an hour to go have lunch with Dominique because I haven’t seen her in FOREVER!

Wearing my Fashion’s Night Out 2010 shirt, Triple Five Soul canvas bomber jacket, Marc Jacobs leather strap bracelet, skinny Levi’s and my Diesel boots from New York. Ā That reminds me- I’m making a promise to myself to get the pictures up this weekend from Fashion’s Night Out- It was kinda epic!

Have a great Friday!

VERITAS INLUSTRAT | NEW ACCESSORIES

Posted in Fashion, Random, Shopping with tags , , , , , , , , on February 24, 2010 by Me & Marisa

Coco Chanel said that you should always look in the mirror andĀ take off one accessory before leaving the house. I couldn’t agree more with Coco… it’s just hard sometimes when you have lots of new things to play around with haha. But alas, you know you’ve seen the accessory overload victims, and no one wants to look like that.
Yesterday I was going through wardrobe of what I’m wanting to take to Los Angeles next week, and I realized I have acquired quite a few new accessories for the shoot. So of course… I took pictures haha. Hope you’re having a great day, enjoy!

Shades of Greige scarf. I bought this back in November but for some reason had it shipped to my parents house where it’s been sitting in the shipping box until this weekend when I rescued it. Still trying to figure out the best way to wear it, but I like.

Love these. Here are two things actually, my new studded wrap braclet from Urban Outfitter, and my friendĀ Nicolas got me a Marc Jacobs braclet when he visited Chicago recently. Inscription reads ” Veritas Inlustrat” or “Truth Illuminates”. I have hardly taken it off since I’ve gotten it.These necklaces are just for my photoshoot as they are a little too… I don’t even know the word, for me to wear around on a daily basis haha.
And I know it was on the last post, but it bears repeating because it is my favorite accessory right now hands down.

SPARKLE SPARKLE EVERYWHERE

Posted in Fashion, Shoes, Trends with tags , , , , , , , , , , , on December 11, 2009 by Me & Marisa

It’s the most wonderful time of the year! Cold weather brings out evergreens, presents, people in good moods and of course… all things sparkly! Below are some of my favorite sparkle weather items from this season.
What they did with the “Vogue” is so fun! Leave it to the Brazilians ha.
Rose Byrne

Found these at Saks 5th Avenue
The shoe is AWESOME! Leave it to LouboutinThis skirt is my favorite of all of the picks on here. To me,Ā it is the answer to the question;Ā  “What Happens When A Fish and Bird Fall In Love?” because I thinkĀ it looks like wings and scales.Ā Marc Jacobs: First off, the bow ruins it for me… cover it up and this looks MUCH better! Tights and shoes are really cool though either way!
Found this sequin dress on StyleCaster yesterday. It’s Rodarte for Target and is going to retail for $50! Gotta love it!
Snagged this off of Lookbook. This girl does a great job of adding just the right amount of sparkle to her otherwise understated outfit. Really loving her hair too!

BREAK-UPS ARE GOOD FOR SOMETHING

Posted in Fashion, Life, Shoes, Shopping, Weekend Recap with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , on December 7, 2009 by Me & Marisa

As evidence of the post title for today… I got broken up with this weekend. Sucks for sure. Didn’t do much this weekend as a result of it, but I’m going to look at what the positives are that came from it:
Friday (the day before), went out and got sushi at this great place in Oklahoma City called Sushi Neiko (not sure on spelling) and then ended up at this awesome little jazz club in Bricktown called Makers.
Also I finally had a reason to wear my new John Varvatos boots I ordered which arrived last week (yay!).
Saturday D-day… that’s all I’ll say on that topic ha. Spent the rest of the day surrounding myself with my friends and ended up going out Saturday night… drank a little too much, felt like crap for the first half of Sunday, but meh it’s what I needed.
Sunday My mom came down yesterday and we did some shopping therapy :). Got some thingsĀ for my house,Ā decorated for Christmas.Ā She told me “You can be sad, but you can’t be sad by yourself.” I love her so much :)!
P.S. Also bought a new Marc Jacobs sweater lol, what can I say? Buying things makes me happier lol.
P.S.S. Got great inspiration with a friend to start having some guest bloggers and maybe even launching yet another blog :)!
