Alas, the trip must end… Spent the last couple days very camera-light in WeHo and Beverly Hills shopping and taking in some great food! Night before we left we went to one of my favorite restaurants (which I discovered last time I was in L.A.), called Bossa Nova. GREAT Brazilian food, yummy food porn pics below for that.
Then day of departure, we got up and went and met Diana and Danielle for lunch at Diana and mine’s old ritual hotspot; Chin Chin in Beverly. After that, we said our goodbye’s to the city and headed back home for a long 21 hour drive. Such a great trip, great memories, and of course- great photos! Enjoy.

Perhaps the prettiest window display I’ve ever seen!
My favorite Starbucks ever… which I’ve still never actually been in.
This guy was someone famous… can’t place where from though…
Love this billboard hahaha.
Look in the back… see the guy upside down… yeah, that was going on all through dinner haha.
Awww Fred Segal, one of the first places that made me love LA
Chinese Chicken Salad!!! Best thing to eat at double Chin
The long road home.

Howdy all! I do apologize for the delay in posts when I’ve been trying to be SO good, but I’m at my parents house right now… and for those of you who have been following the blog for a while, that is a death rattle for blogging- the internet here sucks! Anywho, big announcement; I’M GOING TO NYC FASHION WEEK IN SEPTEMBER :D!!!!! I’m extremely excited! So, I figured I should probably look ahead to what I will be seeing people wearing while I’m there.

Ergo, here are my favorite 4 Fall 2010 Fashion Trends with the designer I feels epitomizes the trend the best; ’50s, The Cape, The Feminine Pant, and Clean and Bare.

Hope you’re having a great week!

’50s Prada

The waists are tight, the skirts are long, and the chests are showing.

Oscar de la Renta’s take on ’50s (It’s a tie)

Not really ’50s… but gorgeous none the less

CKing of Clean Calvin Klein

No thrills, no frills, just blain (plain an bland… new creation… I like it… I think I’ll keep it.) And who does understated-clean better than CK?

Balmain’s Feminine Pant

Unpleated and boot cut. Finally getting away from the man-trouser.

Yves Saint Laurent’s Cape

Perhaps a bit dramatic… but since when was fashion about being sensible? These two, slightly more unorthadox of a cape design. Definitely props for creativity.

Just a quickie post of a few pictures that were taken when I didn’t have my camera nearby. Not always the best quality mind you, but of course the captured the moment :). Hope you had a great weekend! Will return with regular posts tomorrow!

Fourth of July spent in the Marina del Ray with amazing people, gorgeous sunset, and spectacular fireworks. What more does one need?

We woke up kinda late (like 11 am ) on the 4th and decided to go do brunch at a great restaurant nearby in Venice called The Terrace. Food was soooooo good (as you can see below). Then we came back and decided to hit the beach for a couple hours. It was off and on sun but somehow Tyler managed to get really burnt haha. After a stint at the beach, we went back to Diana’s and grabbed a couple bikes to go tour Venice Beach. I figured it was a must-see for L.A. as I don’t think there is really anything quite like Muscle Beach anywhere else. Got some really great street style pictures there and then we headed back home to celebrate the 4th. The party had already started when we arrived and as the sun was starting to set, we got some amazing pictures. I have more on my iPhone, but this is all for today ha. Enjoy the pics!

Guess which is mine…
Does this even classify as taking your dog for a “walk”?
Block parties were everywhere in the Marina. And all were plastered with signs reading “Residents ONLY!”
I want this door! It reminds me of an airplane haha.
Horses make sense… In a very crowded area…
I love it when words fail me.
The Venice Beach Police at their best; Serve, protect and text.
Another dog going for a “walk”. Really like this pic though!
Obviously New Yorkers visiting L.A. ha.
My focus of this pic was the M C Hammer wannabe in the red sweatshirt… I completely missed the guy in the hat with the mini-surfboard haha.
Blah, auto-focus wasn’t on.
Oh Sylvia, you are so chic 🙂
And some photos require no retouching, like this one of Adriana in silhouette (beautiful!) and the three sirens with the flag. So patriotic 🙂
Madonna and Child meets Liberty Leading the People?
Hands down my favorite picture! Such a fun picture, so much movement!

Hollywood; Where everybody’s got a dream. What’s your dream?”  That line definitely ran through my head (and often out of my mouth) about a thousand times while sightseeing in the heart of Hollywood.

Since it was Tyler’s first time in L.A., I decided that on my crash course sightseeing tour of all things touristy, we had to do; Hollywood and Highland, The Hollywood Walk of Fame, and of course Grauman’s Chinese Theater.

Keep in mind… this is all still in our first day of arriving in L.A. after our non-stop drive… we did a lot with practically zero sleep haha. Ah, the benefits of being young.

P.S. On a side note; since arriving home from L.A. I have given in to the guilty MTV pleasure of The Hills. I heard it was going off-air and since I have only ever watched 15 minutes of one episode, when I actually lived in Los Angeles (before deciding it was too stupid and I was actually losing brain cells as I watched), I watched the marathon that MTV has been showing of the past few seasons… and I enjoyed it… I know, I know. It’s shameful. I never in my life knew that a show with awkward staring, tons of background music and 12 minutes of dialogue (at best… and yes I timed an episode) could be quite so entertaining. Goodbye Hills, you will be missed I’m sure… Now back to The City 🙂

Enjoy the pictures from Hollywood!

-Andrew J

The famous Kodak Theater where the Oscars are held.
If I’m not mistaken, this is where Ryan Secrest does his radio show from.
Hollywood and Highland Center… if you look closely you can even see the Hollywood Sign in the background.
This was one of those “Right place at the right time” photos… not sure which I like better, so I put them both up. But I’m thinking I like the second one more. What do you think?
The tourist mass that is Hollywood and Highland
I’m guessing where Jimmy Kimmel is filmed… and for all of you “Mason infiltrating Hollywood” theorists… click on the pic and check out the writing on Jimmy’s building.
I KNEW better than to slouch next to Mr. 6’3… gaw I look like a gnome.
A little Hollywood Street Style for you.
Gloria Swanson and Cary Grant‘s handprints at Grauman’s Chinese Theater.
One of my favorite Hollywood landmarks; The Roosevelt Hotel.
I’m… not sure what this guy was trying to accomplish… but if it was a model contract, someone needs to tell him he is about 6 inches and 3 years too late… yeah.
More style.
LADY GAGA going to Starbucks with her posse!!! Okay so not really, but it really looked like her.
Mmmmmmm California Pizza Kitchen pizza. I got the mushroom and bell pepper one below.
Not normally a fan of the man satchel… but this guy is kinda rocking it. He must be European…
I’m very proud of this picture. I think it looks like a postcard!
“Take Shore to Hope and stop on Astaire.” anyone who gets that reference is my new best friend haha. But can’t resist the original entertainer Fred Astaire!
Only in Hollywood would you find a 60 ft Chihuahua on the side of a building.
Pink’s legendary hotdogs. You can barely tell (because I took this while driving) but the line was wrapped around three times! It was intense.
When we arrived at the Marina del Ray it was cloudy again, though the marine layer burned off a little later, it was a nice break from the heat to go exploring.
Two of my favorite houses in the Marina and they probably couldn’t be more different.
So pretty… will pick up here tomorrow.

We rolled into Santa Monica at I believe… 7:30 in the morning after a 21+ hour drive. My friend Diana had a house full of people from her birthday party the night before so we headed to Tyler’s Aunt’s house in SM. We slept for a couple hours, showered and then were ready to face the day. Started off by heading to this great restaurant a few blocks away called Babalu, where the food was really wonderful btw, and then scouted around the area a bit before heading off to Hollywood for some more sightseeing… which I’ll post up for Monday :).
-Andrew J

Aunt Patty’s cat Lucy, such a love bug!
What she was wearing for me epotimized Santa Monica brunch.
Delicious Ahi Tuna Salad
This picture with the bike, flowers and surfboard was just TOO California for me to not photograph.
Hollywood sign!!!
The very famous Pantages Theater
Capitol Records
Realy loved this mural right in the forefront of Capitol Records
